The SHRM Aloha Chapter is a student-run organization located in Honolulu, Hawaii at the Shidler College of Business, University of Hawaii at Manoa. The Aloha Chapter is a student chapter of SHRM Hawaii and an affiliate of SHRM®, the world’s largest association devoted to Human Resource Management. The SHRM Aloha Chapter was established in 1974.



The Society for Human Resource Management, Aloha Chapter, promotes collaboration and interaction among diverse individuals with an expressed interest in the study of Human Resources Management and its theories, practices, and applications. The Aloha Chapter provides members with specialized resources and unique opportunities to develop a professional foundation in preparation for the Hawaii business community.

Sponsored by the SHRM Hawaii Chapter, the Aloha Chapter works closely with the chapter’s College Relations Committee Board, Oahu District. The College Relations Committee aids in managing scholarship programs, internship programs, and college outreach efforts for the students of the Aloha Chapter. The SHRM Hawaii Chapter, also in affiliation with SHRM®, is a professional organization that addresses current themes and emerging trends. The chapter’s mission is two-fold – to Serve the Professional and Advance the Profession.
